Hayley Willis- Owner and Senior Occupational Therapist

Hayley graduated from the University of South Australia with a Bachelor of Applied Science - Occupational Therapy in 2006. She began her career in rural South Australia, prior to moving to Kalgoorlie in mid 2007.

Hayley lived in Kalgoorlie for 7 years, working for the WA County Health Service in the Child Development Centre and the Adult OT department. Hayley opened ‘Hayley Storr - Occupational Therapy’ in  October 2011. Hayley has continued to employ and support staff, as well as travel to Kalgoorlie; in order to stay in touch with the community and provide a local service.

“I am passionate about Occupational Therapy and child development, which has grown even stronger since becoming a parent and raising my own children (aged 4 and 1). I feel that i am able to provide families with a friendly, relaxed and professional service, with the understanding and support that only a fellow parent can have."


Rachael Everett - Occupational Therapist- secret harbour

Rachael joined Bright Minds Occupational Therapy at the beginning of 2017 as the full-time OT based in Kalgoorlie, after graduating from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) and First Class Honours. Rachael has always had a keen interest in paediatrics, having previously worked as a support worker for children with Autism while completing her degree. Rachael also completed a research project while at university which explored the relationship between sensory processing and participation in daily activities for children with Autism.

Rachael worked in Kalgoorlie for one year; providing goal-orientated therapy to private clients as well as school-based screening, intervention and support across a number of different schools in the Goldfields. Rachael has since moved back to Perth, and is now working for Bright Minds Occupational Therapy on a part-time basis, while also working in a neuro-rehabilitation role.  

“I find the brain fascinating and its ability to change and devlop, and am looking forward to incorporating my knowledge about neuroplasticity into my therapy with the children at Bright Minds Occupational Therapy” 


Sarah Talbot - Occupational Therapist- Kalgoorlie

Sarah graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science - Occupational Therapy in 2017. She spent her final placement in Kalgoorlie building a knowledge of the region, schools and client base.

Sarah was born and bred in country WA and enjoys the country lifestyle. She has family in the goldfields and was eager and enthusiastic to commence her Occupational Therapy career in Kalgoorlie.
